I have had a long standing love affair with polka dots. I made this handbag a while ago but the weather just didn't suit the cheeriness of the bag. Now that the river is open it seems like the right time to bring it out for some fresh air.

Getting ready for next winter
The snow is mostly gone and the river is now open. You would think that next winter would be the last thing on my mind. Still, it's better to knit now and be warm later than decide on a sweater in January.
I started this beautful pattern called North Atlantic by Lone Kjeldsen at Ravelry, on Tuesday. I am knitting it with Briggs and Little heritage yarn. It's great yarn to work with but I will treat it with lanolin when I'm done to soften it up some.

I treated myself to a bouquet of daisies. I like having them in April to honour my mother's memory. They were her favourite flower and she was born April 30, 1931.
